The Mid-Bergen Mutual Aid Association is comprised of the following fire departments and heavy rescue squads.

Ridgefield Park Heavy Rescue Squad
South Hackensack Fire Department
Teaneck Fire Department
Box 54 Special Services Unit

These agencies provide aid and assistance during fires and other emergency incidents to each other at no cost.  Additionally, the mutual aid group has special task force responses that have predetermined resource assignments for specific types of incidents and needs such as high-rise fires, large diameter hose and water relay, and heavy rescue.

The mutual aid group is also available to respond to other parts of Bergen County and throughout the state under the state's Deployment Act.
